2,000 people stranded in Colombo, sent back to their villages

2,000 people stranded in Colombo, sent back to their villages

Police said Nearly 2,000 people stranded in the Colombo North police have been sent back to their respective villages.

Police said that residents of all districts including Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara have been dispatched to their homes in 42 SLTB buses after assembling at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

Over 16,000 people who were stranded in the Western Province have been dispatched to their homes during this period.
