Karunaratne Paranavithana Sworn in as MP
Karunaratne Paranavithana has been officially sworn in as a Member of Parliament.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Paranavithana took the oath to fill the position left vacant by Thalatha Athukorala's resignation.
Paranavithana previously represented the United National Party as a Member of the Eighth Parliament.
