Public Security Minister Confirms Safety of Citizens and Foreign Tourists
Public Security Minister Vijitha Herath addressed recent concerns about the security situation of the country.
He reassured citizens and foreign tourists that the safety measures in place have been significantly strengthened to ensure their protection.
Minister Herath emphasized that the security situation has been strengthened, assuring that there should be no fear or doubt among the public.
He said that the current situation is strong and stable, allowing tourists to participate in activities freely, and urged people not to get caught up in rumors or propaganda.
He explained that the rumored potential threats until October 28 are due to Israelis participating in religious activities at the end of October, leading to gatherings in various locations across Sri Lanka.
Minister Herath also commented on the recent arrest of three suspects. He said that they are currently being interrogated and information indicating any imminent threat have not been uncovered yet.
