Two Ministry Secretaries Summoned To EC
The Election Commission has issued final notices to two ministry secretaries following allegations of misuse of state property.
Manjula Gajanayake, Executive Director of the Institute of Democratic Reforms and Electoral Studies said that the Chairman of the commission has taken a firm stance by summoning the two implicated ministry secretaries to address the accusations.
The revelation came to light during a meeting where election observers were convened before the Election Commission for the first time.
Furthermore, Gajanayake disclosed that the commission has introduced new guidelines for election observers.
