Two underworld criminals arrested in Dubai escorted back to Sri Lanka
Two underworld criminals arrested in Dubai have been escorted back to Sri Lanka.
Police Spokesman DIG Attorney-at-Law Nihal Thalduwa said officers of the Criminal Investigation Department escorted them back from Dubai, and arrived in the island early this morning.
The arrested criminals are Kankanamge Dimuthu Chathuranga Perera and Kaludura Dinesh Shyamantha de Silva.
Dimuthu Chathuranga Perera was listed by the Colombo Crimes Division for committing two murders on August 29, 2022 and in 2016.
Dinesh Shyamantha was charged with aiding and abetting the shooting and killing of Ranawaka Sunil Perera in Kohuwala on July 28, 2019 and driving the motorcycle on which the shooter arrived.
INTERPOL recently issued red notices for their arrest.
