Major Fire in Akurana Forces Temporary Closure of Matale-Kandy Main Road
The Matale-Kandy main road was temporarily closed, due to a fire at a hotel in Akurana.
Sri Lanka Police said the fire has now spread to four buildings.
Firefighters from the Kandy Municipal Council are battling the blaze.
Sri Lanka Police said four firetrucks have been deployed to contain the fire.
