Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rises to 69
Sri Lanka has reported three more deaths from the coronavirus pandemic yesterday the Director-General of Health Services confirmed
Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the country has hiked to 69.
One of the deceased is a 70-year-old male residing in Kandana. He had passed away at his residence. The cause of death has been identified as the complication of diabetes condition due to COVID-19 infection.
A woman, aged 74 years from Colombo 12, has succumbed to high blood pressure, diabetes, and weakness in the lungs caused by COVID-19. She had been receiving treatment at the Homagama Base Hospital upon being identified as virus-positive.
A resident of Colombo 13, a male aged 48 years, has also passed away at his home from complications of a diabetes condition due to the coronavirus infection.
