
Dengue on the rise: Density of mosquito larvae significantly increases
The National Dengue Control Unit says that the density of dengue mosquito larvae has increased rapidly.
Entomologist Sakuntala Janaki says that the density of larvae which was 7.5 percent in April has increased to 10.6 percent in May.
She adds that the density of larvae arounds schools in the country has increased by 70 percent.
25,417 dengue cases have been reported islandwide so far this year.
