Rescued Sri Lankans Moved To Myawaddi Police, And Are Safe.!
A group of Eight Sri Lankans who were held against their will at a Cyber Slave Camp in Myawaddi, Myanmar have been rescued.
Ambassador Janaka Bandara speaking EXCLUSIVELY to News 1st said that the Myanmar Home Affairs Ministry has officially confirmed the rescue of the eight Sri Lankans who were held against their will at a Cyber Slave Camp in Myanmar. The rescued Sri Lankans include six males, and two females.
He stressed that the Sri Lankans are currently at the Myamaddi Police Station, which is in a region that is operated by the Government of Myanmar.
The Ambassador said that the Sri Lankan Mission, the Foreign Affairs Ministry, and others will work towards the safe return of the Sri Lankans who were rescued.
He stressed the rescue was a result of diplomatic efforts between Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
