2024 to be challenging, says President.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the first few months of 2024 will be challenging.
He said that thereafter, Sri Lanka will head towards full economic recovery along with GDP growth.
The President added that Sri Lanka has not returned to the situation in 2018, and this will not be the case in 2024 either. He says that plans are afoot to achieve that in 2025, and these are stepping stones to ensure economic recovery.
He pointed out setbacks but highlighted that his primary objective is the restoration of the country's economy, emphasizing a non-political approach to achieving this goal.
