120 specialist doctors who left the country have been blacklisted.
A group of specialist doctors who have not returned to work leaving for overseas, have been blacklisted.
The Ministry of Health says 363 doctors had left for training overseas and returned to Sri Lanka during the time period from January 9, 2022 to August 18, 2023.
Among them, 120 doctors had once again, migrated.
12 out of Sri Lanka's 29 Anesthesiologists had also migrated.
The Ministry of Health says that the blacklisted doctors can return to the country, but, they must submit an appeal to the Public Service Commission to practice medicine.
