Jared Leto to reprise his role as The Joker in upcoming 'Justice League' film
This is not a joke, Jared Leto is returning as The Joker!
The actor, who played the Clown Prince of Crime in the 2016 film ‘Suicide Squad’ will return to play the villainous role in Zack Snider’s ‘Justice League’. Although it is not entirely clear what role Leto’s Joker will play in the re-edited film, it looks like he will finally have the last laugh.
The Oscar-winning actor faced a lot of criticism and controversy over his edgy and tattooed interpretation of the famed character. Since then, the character of The Joker was referenced in the DC films, including ‘Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey’, but Leto never made an on-screen appearance as the villain.
It remains to be seen if the character will have more than just a minor role in the upcoming film, given that the villain was never slated to appear in the original Snyder flick.
‘Justice League’ will see Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller in their respective roles as Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Cyborg and the Flash.
