Construction of SL's first LNG power plant to commence today
Construction of Sri Lanka's first natural liquefied petroleum gas (LNG) power plant will commence today.
Duminda Dissanayake, Minister of State for Solar, Wind and Hydro Generation Projects Development stated that the foundation stone will be laid at Kerawalapitiya under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The State Minister also stated that after the construction of this power plant a capacity of 300 MW will be added to the national grid.
