SLSI chairman Nushad Perera resigns

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution, Nushad Perera says that he has resigned from his post and will rejoin the private sector.

Nushad Perera was the former Chairman of Lanka Sathosa and the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment (CWE), and was then appointed Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).

He was appointed Chairman of Lanka Sathosa, which operates the supermarkets, and CWE, which operates the lorries and warehouses, on 2 January 2020.

Nushad Perera was appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) with effect from 1 January 2021 having stepped down as Chairman of the Cooperative Establishment (CWE), he relinquished his duties as Chairman of Lak Sathosa on 31 December.
