No sale allowed outside the maximum price for rice - Trade Minster
Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena stated that there will be no room to increase the maximum prices imposed on rice.
He was speaking at the opening of the Batticaloa branch of the State Trading Corporation yesterday.
He said that the producer should not become a pawn of the rice mafia.
The Minister of Trade also stated that the necessary legal provisions have been made to provide the farmers with a more reasonable price for the existing paddy stocks.
