First-Come, First-Served Approach For Passports
The system of issuing passports by booking a time and date in advance has been suspended starting today.
Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alles, announced that passports will now be issued based on the order of arrival.
Minister Alles stated that the new system will allow for the issuance of 750 passports each day.
This change comes in response to the large number of people who gathered in front of the Immigration Department yesterday morning, facing inconvenience due to restrictions on the issuance of passports.
The Department of Immigration and Emigration explained that the restriction was necessary due to a limited supply of empty passports.
The new first-come, first-served approach aims to streamline the process and manage the demand more effectively.
