Colombo District reports highest number of COVID patients yesterday
Among the 763 COVID patients that were identified yesterday (17), the highest number of cases were identified from the Colombo District. The Colombo District reported 241 COVID cases, while 210 COVID cases were reported from the Gampaha District.
Kalutara District only reported nine COVID cases yesterday (17) with the Kandy District reporting 19 cases and Galle District reporting 29 cases.
Since the beginning of the second COVID wave on 04 October, from the Colombo District 21,141 cases were reported.
During the same period, Gampaha District reported 11, 256 cases.
In comparison to Colombo and Gampaha District, Kalutara and Kandy District had only reported 4,130 and 2,570 cases respectively.
