Student of Faculty of Management at Sri J’pura University tests positive for COVID-19
A 3rd year student of the Faculty of Management at the Sri Jayewardenapura University has tested positive for COVID-19, Newsfirst reported.
Vice chancellor of the university had told NewsFirst that the student who is a resident of Panadura has been transferred to IDH for treatment.
The patient was detected from the Panadura hospital.
The patient who was a daughter of a nurse in the hospital had been admitted with fever.
She was tested positive for COVID-19 after a PCR test was conducted yesterday.
15 including hospital nurses and doctors will undergo qurantine according to the Hospital Director.
University authorities say they have also taken measures to identify students who had contact with the patient.
