Indian High Commission surprised over the news about WCT
Sources said that the Indian High Commission was surprised to hear that the Indian High Commission themselves had granted approval for the Indian Adani Company to develop the Western Terminal.
They are of the view that decisions regarding investments in Sri Lanka should be made by the Government of Sri Lanka and not by the Indian High Commission.
It was reported yesterday that the Cabinet approved the development of the Western Terminal of the Colombo Port in collaboration with Adani Company of India and its local agent John Keells Company in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority
