750 Sri Lankans repatriated within 24 hours
A total of 750 Sri Lankans were repatriated within the past 24 hours from several countries, where they had been stranded due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The period that ended at 8.30 am today (19) saw 15 flights bringing in these persons.
They include 119 from Qatar and 48 from the UAE, reports the Hiru News correspondent at the Katunayake Airport.
In the meantime, 600 have left for employment and studies overseas.
