Gun violence continues : 47 yr old man shot dead in Wellampitiya.
An individual has been killed after being shot by unidentified gunmen in the Kiththampahuwa area in Wellampitiya today.
According to the Police, two gunmen on a motorcycle had carried out the shooting.
The victim had been travelling in a three-wheeler at the time of the incident, while the suspects had fled the area following the shooting.
The deceased has been identified as a 47-year-old resident of Colombo 15.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that a pistol was used to carry out the shooting.
The Wellampitiya Police is conducting investigations into the incident.
