Chinmayi lashes out at Mukesh Khanna for his misogynistic statement

Chinmayi who has been spearheading the MeToo movement in Tamil Nadu has represented many women in exposing sexual predators on social media. She has been facing a lot of criticism and abuse online from men who don’t believe in the movement. She has now lashed out at legendary actor Mukesh Khanna for making sexist remarks.
Mukesh Khanna who played Shaktimaan and featured in Mahabharat has said the MeToo movement began because women started thinking they are equal to men. He also further said the job of women is to take care of the household. This has driven a lot of criticism towards the actor.

Chinmayi lashed out at the actor for his sexist remarks. She said it is getting tired to explain to people who can’t see sense. She posted, ‘Ayya.... Actor Mukesh Khanna said #MeToo was because women started working. Not because men couldn’t control their hands remote controlled by their genitals and violence. Ok, Uncle…. Honestly - I am getting tired of some people who are at a particular mental age. They wont change, not see sense, won’t learn, neither will they keep their toxicity to themselves. Thalaiezhuthu. I wonder if one should even invest any time in explaining (sic)’

Radikaa also supported Chinmayi and called the statement stupid. She posted, ‘So true, their stupidity is appalling. Worst is getting away with itPouting face’

She has been singing for charity and has raised more than 1 crore for people struggling due to the lockdown.
