Over 1,800 Dengue Cases Reported in 21 Days
The Ministry of Health has announced a special dengue eradication program that will be implemented for three days starting tomorrow.
According to Dr. Palitha Maheepala, Secretary of the Ministry of Health, this program will be conducted in the districts of Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha, and Puttalam.
The initiative will cover 50 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) offices. The primary goal of this program is to prevent the breeding of dengue mosquitoes.
In the past 21 days alone, 1,874 dengue cases have been reported nationwide.
The National Dengue Control Unit has stated that a total of 41,285 dengue cases have been reported so far this year.
