He added that President's clear and decisive leadership has guided the nation toward stability and growth.

State Minister Semasinghe further highlighted that to prevent a return to such challenging times, it is essential to continue supporting President Wickremesinghe's vision and initiatives.

Meanwhile, State Minister of Defence, Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, who was elected to parliament from SLPP, also expressed his support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.

Posting on X, State Minister Tennakoon emphasized that regardless of the decision made by the SLPP's political bureau, he, along with the majority of parliamentary members, will continue to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election, acknowledging the President's crucial role in rescuing the country during a critical time.
