Colombo municipal council receives Chinese health equipment donation
The municipal council in the Chinese capital Beijing has donated health equipment worth more than Rs. 16 million to the Colombo municipal council.
Comprising ventilators and PCR machines, the donation was sent today (12) on board a Qatar Airways flight.
Two more donations are to arrive on 14 and 17 December, says the Chinese embassy in Colombo.
The MCs in Shanghai, Chengdu and Taipei will also send equipment to the CMC to fight the Covid-19 virus.
