Three Suspects Arrested at BIA Over Firearms Probe
Three key suspects were arrested early this (29) morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
This marks a breakthrough linked to the discovery of illegal firearms in Vavuniya and Colombo.
The arrests were carried out by the Police Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) upon the suspects’ arrival in Sri Lanka following their deportation from India.
According to police sources, the trio had been in hiding in India and were apprehended by Indian authorities before being handed over to Sri Lankan law enforcement.
