CCF allocates Rs.3,400 mn for development

The Board of Central Cultural Fund (CCF) has allocated Rs. 3,400 million for development projects for the year 2021 under the directives of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

A meeting of the CCF Board was held yesterday (29) at Temple Trees under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa who is also the Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister.

Issuing a press release the Prime Minister’s media division stated that the committee approved the allocation of Rs.3,400 million during the meeting.

The Prime Minister had instructed to get the involvement of the Government Construction Institutions when undergoing constructions at sites coming under the purview of the CCF.

Education Minister Prof.G. L Peiris,Gamini Senarath, Secretary to the Prime Minister, Ganesh Dharmawardena, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister, Sunil Hettiarachchi, Secretary to the Ministry of Tourism, Prof. Kapila Gunawardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs, Director General of the Central Cultural Authority, Director General of Archeology Prof. Sarath Dissanayake were also present.
