IMF Executive Board to Review Sri Lanka's Program Tomorrow
The Article IV consultation and second review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) for Sri Lanka are on the IMF Board meeting agenda for June 12.
The session will evaluate Sri Lanka's economic policies and reform progress.
Recently, a team from the IMF completed the second review of the program for Sri Lanka.
The IMF Executive Board will consider the review of the IMF staff in order to release the third tranche of the approximately USD 3 Bn facility for the island nation.
Several days ago, State Minister Shehan Semasinghe said that Sri Lanka looks forward for continued support of all countries for a successful review to unlock the third tranche, which will further enhance economic stability, growth, and reform efforts.
