NO Decision On Reducing Local Milk Powder Price
The Local Milk Powder Producers Association reports that as of now, no measures have been taken to reduce the price of locally produced milk powder.
The association noted that reducing local mil powder prices could have a potential adverse impact on domestic dairy farmers.
In a contrasting move, the Ministry of Trade has intervened to address consumer concerns by reducing the price of imported milk powder.
Effective from midnight yesterday, the Ministry announced a reduction of 150 rupees per kilogram of imported milk powder.
Additionally, the price of a 400-gram packet of milk powder has been slashed by Rs. 60.
