Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanaka made history by becoming the first ever Sri Lankan cricketer to reach a double century in the 50-over format of the game.
Nissanka smashed 210 runs* in 139 deliveries, guiding Sri Lanka to 381 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 50 overs, in the first ODI against Afghanistan in Kandy.
Fellow opener Avishka Fernando smashed a run-a-ball 88, while Sadeera Samarawickrama missed out on a half-century being sent back on 44.
