The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has taken responsibility for the recent island-wide power outage.
Presenting facts before the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka(PUCSL) regarding the outage, CEB officials acknowledged their role in the disruption.
Chairman of the PUCSL, Professor Manjula Fernando said the commission will convene to discuss next steps in light of the CEB's presentation.
On December 9th, a lightning strike on the crucial Kotmale-Biyagama transmission line caused the island-wide blackout.
