Speeding three-wheeler collides with school student (Video /CCTV)
A CCTV camera had recorded a 13-year-old girl being injured in a collision with a speeding three-wheeler.
The accident took place on the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main road in front of the Kotagala Tamil Maha Vidyalaya.
The victim was a 16-year-old student of the Tamil Maha Vidyalaya at the Stonyclip Estate in Kotagala, Hatton.
The girl who sustained major injuries in the accident was admitted to the Dickoya Base Hospital and the driver of the three-wheeler involved in the accident was arrested by the police.
The suspect driver is to be produced before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate's Court today and the Dimbula Police are conducting further investigations.
