Another Justice recuses himself from Cricket Interim Committee petition hearing.

 A new bench has been appointed to consider the petition filed against the Cricket Interim Committee.

Another judge recused himself from the bench that was appointed to hear the petition on Thursday (16).

The petition was called before a Court of Appeal bench comprising Justices D.N. Samarakoon and Neil Iddawela on Thursday (16).

Justice Neil Iddawela said he would recuse himself from the hearing of the petition.

Accordingly, the relevant petition was forwarded to the President of the Court of Appeal Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne, to name a new bench for the hearing of the petition.

Three justices have recused themselves from the hearing of the petition thus far.

Thereafter, the petition was called before the President of the Court of Appeal Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne to name a new bench.

The President of the Court of Appeal said the relevant petition will be considered before the new Appeals Court bench comprising Justices Sobhitha Rajakaruna and D.N. Samarakoon.
