New disease spreading across rubber cultivations.
The Rubber Research Institute says that the ringspot disease is spreading across rubber cultivations these days.
Head of the institute of plant science and microbiology, Sarojani Fernando says that this situation has developed with the onset of the rainy season.
She adds that because of this, the leaves of the rubber plants fall off, and this results in the decrease of rubber milk yield.
