Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential Candidate Namal Rajapaksa has assured the public that he will not betray the trust they have placed in him. 

Speaking at a rally in Galle, Rajapaksa emphasized his commitment to transforming Sri Lanka into the fastest developing nation in Asia.

"Our final objective is to make Sri Lanka the fastest developing nation in Asia. Let us head to that goal," Rajapaksa declared. 

He outlined his vision of adhering to the policies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other financial agencies to boost the state's coffers while simultaneously enriching the citizens.

"There is no point in making the government rich and the people poor. I will be following an economic policy that will create a wealthy community with rich parents and youth," he stated. 

Rajapaksa assured the public that the trust they have placed in him will never be broken, highlighting his dedication to creating a prosperous future for all Sri Lankans.
