Hiru CIA revelations on Sambaltivu lagoon bear fruit (video)
Unauthorized constructions in the Sambaltivu lagoon in Trincomalee are to be removed and the wetland surrounding it to be declared an environmentally-sensitive area.
Eastern province governor Anuradha Yahampath has ordered the issuing of a gazette notification for those purposes.
Hiru CIA has, on several instances, reported about the environmental harm that is taking place in the area.
