Work-from-home facility ends for public sector employees
Ending the year-long Work from Home (WFH) arrangement for public servants during the COVID-19 pandemic, all state sector employees have been instructed to report to work in their offices from tomorrow, The Sunday Times reports.
Public Administration Ministry J.J. Rathnasiri told the Sunday Times it would be mandatory for state sector employees to report to work from tomorrow onwards and it would be the responsibility of the heads of departments to ensure a safe environment for the public and the staff.
The Public Administration Ministry has issued a circular that employees staying away from work would have to apply for leave hereafter
