The Sub Inspector of Police who committed suicide in connection with the murder of a young woman and many other details regarding that young woman was revealed by now.

A special search operation is still being carried out on both sides of the Kelani River today to find the head of the murdered girl found in luggage in the Dam Street area in Colombo.

Officers of the Police Naval Division conducted a search operation on the banks of the Kelani River from Modara to Hanwella yesterday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the elder sister of the Sub Inspector who committed suicide has also committed suicide about a year ago due to an illicit affair.

It was revealed that she too had committed suicide at the same land where the Sub Inspector had committed suicide.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the girl who was killed by the Sub Inspector had visited his house on several occasions.

A police officer conducting the investigation told the Hiru News team that the Sub Inspector's wife was also aware of the girl
