Number of COVID cases reported in day in India, reduced
In the last 24 hours ending this morning, 9,110 new coronavirus cases were reported from India, a drop of 23% over the previous day, according to the Indian Ministry of Health.
With the 78 COVID deaths reported yesterday, the total number of COVID deaths in India rose to 55,158.
The total number of COVID infections in India is over 1,877,000.
India launched the coronavirus vaccination program on 16 January and has so far vaccinated over 600,000 people in 24 days.
The Indian Ministry of Health called it the fastest vaccination program in the world.
