Racket importing unrefined substitute oils instead of coconut oil, revealed
The All Ceylon Traditional Coconut Oil Manufacturers' Association states that a racket is being carried out to deceive the coconut oil industry and consumers by importing other unrefined substitute oils from foreign countries.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Dambulla yesterday, the convener of the association Buddhika de Silva and its representative Upali Gamage stated that the use of such imported oils for cooking is detrimental to the health of the people
