Ten suspects who violated quarantine regulations fined Rs 50,000
Galle Chief Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela today imposed a total fine of Rs. 50,000 on 10 suspects who plead guilty for violating quarantine regulations by not wearing a face mask and participating at a party.
The Chief Magistrate has imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 on each suspect.
The birthday party was held at a house in the Ilukpitiya, Unawatuna, and it was revealed that they were without face masks.
The arrested group had included three women.
