Five family members who obstructed police duties, arrested
Five members of the same family were arrested for obstructing and assaulting a group of police officers including the OIC of the Aluthgama Police.
Reportedly the attack had taken place when he had gone to a house in the Moragalla, Aluthgama to enforce a court order.
Among those arrested were two women.
Several court officers and police officers had first gone to the house to enforce the relevant court order, but the OIC and a team had returned to the house to inquire into the matter as they had obstructed their duties.
The occupants of the house had aggresively obstructed the duties of the police officers
