7,479 prisoners freed or bailed out this month
As many as 7,479 prisoners have either regained freedom or released on bail within the first 17 days of this month, says the Prisons Department.
They include 551 men and 13 women, who were freed.
Also, 6,760 men and 155 women were bailed out.
