Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets decline 1.1% in September
Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets declined by 1.1% to USD 6,851 million in September 2026, compared with USD 6,929 million in August 2026, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
The official reserve position includes proceeds from the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) swap arrangement.
However, the CBSL noted that the usability of these funds is subject to the applicable conditionalities under the swap arrangement.
