Two year accelerated Vari Saubhagya programme
A two-year accelerated program called 'Irrigation Prosperity' (Vari Saubhagya)is planned to revitalize 5,000 small rural small irrigation and drinking water systems to revive the economy and eradicate poverty with the aim of increasing national food production.
Accordingly, the Government Information Department stated that Cabinet approval has been granted to commence this program on the 4th of February next year inline with 1000 tanks.
