Revenue of Lak Sathosa increases
Lak Sathosa's revenue has increased by 102% in three days with the Ministry of Trade taking steps to reduce the prices of 27 essential commodities.
The Ministry of Trade stated that this revenue was earned due to the increase in the number of consumers purchasing these products.
The CWE, which previously recorded a daily turnover of Rs. 82 million, has earned a record daily income of Rs. 166 million after the new concessions.
On the instructions of Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena, steps were taken to reduce the prices of 27 essential commodities, which are being sold through the CWE.
