PCR tests: Legal action against those who refuse
There were reports of some persons avoiding the PCR testing process, despite requests made for them to undergo PCR tests, said Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
The DIG said that investigations were underway to arrest such persons.
Furthermore, legal action will be taken against those who refuse PCR testing, under quarantine laws, he added.
Meanwhile, 29 grama niladhari (GN) divisions islandwide were declared isolated areas.
The Police Media Spokesman stated that 13 GN divisions in the Colombo District, five in the Gampaha District, nine in the Kalutara District, and two GN divisions in the Kandy District were isolated.
