The Ministry of Environment has launched an official WhatsApp service today, enabling the public to directly connect with the ministry via 070 250 950 9.

The initiative, aimed at promoting a sustainable and greener future, allows citizens to make inquiries, report environmental violations, and participate in conservation programmes.

The ministry said priority will be given to submissions supported by evidence such as documents, photographs, and official reports, enabling faster and more accurate responses to environmental issues.

It noted that the service is intended to strengthen public participation in environmental protection and improve coordination between citizens and authorities by simplifying communication channels.

The ministry has urged the public to use the platform to report environmental concerns and submit suggestions via WhatsApp messages only.
