Boossa Prison Officer Arrested For Negligence Over Superintendent Attack
A prison officer at the Boossa Prison has been taken into custody.
According to the Police Special Task Force, he was arrested in connection with the incident last week, where a group of inmates attacked the prison superintendent.
The officer is accused of neglecting his duties and abetting damage to government property.
The incident occurred on December 7, when a group of inmates protested against their transfer to a different prison. During the attack, the prison superintendent sustained injuries.
