Trincomalee doctor identified as a COVID patient
A doctor at the Trincomalee General Hospital has also contracted the coronavirus.
According to the Hospital Director Jagath Wickramaratne, the patient was a senior resident doctor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit.
He had tested positive when subjected to PCR testing after he returned from his home in Kotahena with a fever.
The Hospital Director stated that three other doctors who worked with the patient have also been directed to self-quarantine.
